Privacy Policy

Last updated August 26, 2026

Pattern Builder is a service provided by Stitched Form that allows users to create customized cartonnage patterns, measurements, cut lists, and instructions.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Pattern Builder collects, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Prelaunch Notice

Pattern Builder account creation, memberships, and paid pattern purchases are not yet publicly available. References to those features describe the practices that will apply when the applicable feature launches. The current public service does not create user accounts or accept payments.

1. Information You Can Use Without an Account

Some Pattern Builder patterns and features are available without creating an account.

If you use Pattern Builder without signing in, your pattern measurements and customization choices are not saved to your Pattern Builder account or database.

Pattern Builder may still use essential browser storage necessary for the site to function. If you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics may also collect general usage information as described below.

2. Account Information

When account features launch, an account will be required to save customized projects, purchase access to individual patterns, or use a Pattern Builder membership.

When account features are available and you create or use an account, we may store:

  • Your email address
  • Authentication identifiers used to securely recognize your account
  • An optional first name, if you choose to provide one
  • Account creation and update timestamps
  • Records of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy versions associated with your account

Your optional first name is used only for personalization within Pattern Builder.

We do not ask for or intentionally collect your phone number, mailing address, date of birth, or demographic information.

3. Authentication

When account features launch, Pattern Builder will use Supabase Auth to manage accounts and authentication.

You may sign in using email and password or, where offered, Google Sign-In.

Email and Password

Supabase handles password authentication. Pattern Builder does not have access to or store your plain-text password.

Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google and Supabase provide the information necessary to authenticate your account, including your email address and authentication identifiers.

Pattern Builder does not use Google Sign-In to access your:

  • Gmail
  • Google Drive
  • Google Calendar
  • Contacts
  • Files
  • Photos
  • Other Google services

Pattern Builder does not import your Google profile photo or Google display name for personalization.

If you want Pattern Builder to use your first name for personalization, you may enter it separately and voluntarily.

4. Saved Projects and Customizations

When you are signed in and choose to save a project, Pattern Builder may store:

  • Project name
  • Pattern or project selected
  • Measurements
  • Material selections
  • Shape selections
  • Other pattern customization settings
  • Project creation date
  • Last updated date

Additional structured customization options may be added as Pattern Builder develops.

Pattern Builder does not currently allow users to upload files or images.

Generated PDFs

Pattern Builder stores the configuration necessary to generate your pattern PDF later.

The generated PDF itself is not saved by Pattern Builder. A PDF is created when you request it and is downloaded to your device if you choose to save it.

Generated PDFs do not include your account email or optional first name. They contain only the applicable pattern and configuration results.

5. Purchases and Memberships

When paid features launch, Pattern Builder will use Stripe to process payments, individual pattern purchases, memberships, taxes, refunds, and related payment activity.

Pattern Builder will store only the information necessary to connect Stripe activity with your Pattern Builder account and determine what content you can access. This may include:

  • Stripe customer identifiers
  • Stripe Checkout Session identifiers
  • Stripe Payment Intent identifiers
  • Stripe subscription identifiers
  • Stripe product and price identifiers
  • Purchased pattern records
  • Membership status
  • Subscription billing-period information
  • Scheduled cancellation information
  • Access-grant dates
  • Account, subscription, and access timestamps

Pattern Builder does not store:

  • Full credit or debit card numbers
  • Card security codes
  • Payment method details
  • Billing addresses
  • Invoice contents
  • Full payment records

Those details are handled by Stripe.

When Stripe Tax is used, Stripe may collect or process address, location, or other information necessary to determine applicable taxes. Pattern Builder does not copy billing addresses into its own database.

Stripe may also process information related to receipts, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, fraud prevention, tax compliance, and payment compliance.

Stripe may send transactional communications such as payment receipts and subscription-related notices.

6. Analytics and Cookies

Pattern Builder uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand general website traffic and usage.

Google Analytics is blocked unless you consent to analytics cookies.

If you decline analytics cookies, you can still use Pattern Builder.

When enabled, Google Analytics is used for general information such as:

  • Page views
  • Site traffic
  • Feature usage
  • General engagement

Pattern Builder does not intentionally send Google Analytics:

  • Email addresses
  • First names
  • Account IDs
  • Project names
  • Measurements
  • Saved pattern configurations
  • Purchase entitlements

Google advertising, remarketing, Google Signals, and ad-personalization features are not used.

The applicable GA4 user-level and event-data retention setting is configured to 14 months.

Essential Browser Storage

Pattern Builder uses essential browser storage for functionality such as:

  • Authentication sessions
  • Keeping you signed in
  • Security
  • Remembering necessary application state

Essential storage remains available even if you decline analytics cookies.

Cookie Preferences

Your analytics-cookie preference is stored locally in your browser.

Both Accept and Decline choices are remembered. You can change your preference by clearing Pattern Builder's site data in your browser. A Cookie Settings control may also be provided in the Pattern Builder footer.

Cookie preferences are browser- and device-specific. If you use another browser or device, you may need to choose your preference again.

7. Technical and Security Information

Pattern Builder and its infrastructure providers may automatically process technical information necessary to operate and secure the service, such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device type
  • Request timestamps
  • Authentication activity
  • Error and security logs
  • Network and request information

Pattern Builder does not intentionally collect precise location information.

Service providers may derive approximate location from an IP address when necessary for security, analytics, payments, taxes, or normal internet operations.

Basic audit or security records may also be maintained for actions such as authentication, subscription changes, account deletion, and access changes.

8. Support Communications

Pattern Builder does not currently use an on-site support form.

If you contact hi@stitchedform.com, your email and the information you provide will be used to respond to your request, provide support, address privacy requests, troubleshoot issues, or maintain reasonable business records.

Email sent to hi@stitchedform.com is handled using Google/Gmail.

Support and privacy correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary and may be deleted when it is no longer needed.

9. How We Use Information

We use personal information and saved Pattern Builder data to:

  • Create and authenticate accounts
  • Keep accounts secure
  • Personalize the service when you choose to provide a first name
  • Save and restore customized projects
  • Generate customized pattern information and PDFs
  • Determine access to purchased patterns
  • Provide membership access
  • Process and verify payment and subscription activity
  • Calculate applicable taxes
  • Send necessary account and transaction communications
  • Provide customer support
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Detect fraud, abuse, or security problems
  • Maintain and improve Pattern Builder
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand how Pattern Builder is used and improve patterns, features, and the overall service.

10. Marketing Emails

Creating a Pattern Builder account does not subscribe you to the Stitched Form newsletter.

The Stitched Form newsletter is separate from Pattern Builder.

Pattern Builder does not currently send marketing emails. If Pattern Builder offers a newsletter or other marketing communications in the future, participation will be optional and users will be able to unsubscribe.

11. Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate Pattern Builder.

These currently include:

Supabase

Used for authentication, account information, database functionality, saved projects, purchases, memberships, and related application infrastructure.

Stripe

Will be used when paid features launch for payment processing, subscriptions, purchases, receipts, tax calculation, refunds, fraud prevention, and related financial services.

Netlify

Used to host and deliver the Pattern Builder website and related application infrastructure.

Google

Used for optional Google Sign-In, Google Analytics after consent, and Gmail for support communications.

These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy and security practices.

12. No Sale of Personal Information

Stitched Form does not sell or rent Pattern Builder users' personal information.

We do not provide Pattern Builder account information to advertisers and do not use advertising pixels or behavioral advertising services.

Pattern Builder currently uses no Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Pinterest tracking, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or similar advertising or behavioral-tracking services.

13. Artificial Intelligence Services

Pattern Builder does not currently send account information, saved projects, measurements, customization settings, or other user data to OpenAI or another artificial intelligence provider.

If this changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before such use is introduced.

14. Administrative Access

Authorized administration of Pattern Builder may involve access to account or saved project information when reasonably necessary for:

  • Customer support
  • Troubleshooting
  • Debugging
  • Security
  • Fraud prevention
  • Maintaining or repairing the service

We do not access saved project information for unrelated purposes.

15. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Pattern Builder, maintain accounts, fulfill purchases, provide support, protect the service, and meet applicable legal or business obligations.

We do not maintain separate manual downloads or personal backups of Pattern Builder user data.

Our infrastructure providers may maintain temporary backups, recovery copies, security logs, or system records as part of their normal operations.

16. Account Deletion

When account features launch, you will be able to delete your Pattern Builder account directly from the Account page.

For security, you may be required to reauthenticate before deletion.

Deleting your account will remove the Pattern Builder data associated with your account, including:

  • Your Pattern Builder profile
  • Optional first name
  • Saved project names
  • Saved measurements
  • Saved customization settings
  • Project timestamps
  • Purchased-pattern access records
  • Membership access records

Deleting your account also cancels any active Pattern Builder subscription.

Account deletion causes you to give up access to individually purchased patterns and saved customizations associated with that account.

Certain limited records may remain temporarily in system backups, security logs, or where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

Stripe may retain historical payment, tax, refund, dispute, or transaction records in accordance with its own retention practices and applicable law even after your Pattern Builder account is deleted.

If you later contact Stitched Form regarding a past purchase, we may be able to review Stripe's historical transaction records and determine whether access can be restored, but restoration is not automatic.

17. Privacy Requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information.

You may contact hi@stitchedform.com to request:

  • Access to personal information associated with your account
  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion of personal information
  • Assistance with another applicable privacy right

Account deletion is also available directly through the Pattern Builder Account page.

Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required, including certain payment, tax, fraud-prevention, security, or transaction records.

18. Children's Privacy

Pattern Builder is a general-audience crafting service and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information through Pattern Builder accounts from children under 13.

If we learn that an account has been created by a child under 13 in circumstances requiring deletion under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to remove the information.

19. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information and Pattern Builder accounts.

However, no internet service, transmission method, or data-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

If a security incident involving personal information occurs, affected users will be notified when required by applicable law.

20. Legal Disclosures

We may access, preserve, or disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law or legal process
  • Respond to lawful governmental requests
  • Prevent or investigate fraud or security problems
  • Enforce the Pattern Builder Terms of Service
  • Protect the rights, safety, property, or security of Stitched Form, Pattern Builder, users, or others

21. Business Transfers

If Stitched Form or Pattern Builder is sold, merged, reorganized, transferred, or acquired, information associated with Pattern Builder may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Any successor would remain responsible for handling personal information in accordance with applicable law.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Pattern Builder will evolve over time, and we may update this Privacy Policy as our features or data practices change.

The Last updated date at the top of this page will indicate when the policy was most recently revised.

If a change materially affects how personal information is handled, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
